This dataset includes results from shipboard high-pressure incubations of diffuse flow vent fluids collected from the Crab Spa (9.8398º N, 104.2913º W) and Alvinella (9.8398º N, 104.2915º W) sites at East Pacific Rise during the AT26-10 oceanographic expedition in January 2014. Reported parameters include dates and time elapsed, flow rate, temperature, pressure, and pH, and concentrations of NO3, NH4, H2, H2S, CH4. For a complete list of measurements, refer to the supplemental document 'Field_names.pdf', and a full dataset description is included in the supplemental file 'Dataset_description.pdf'. Nitrogen stable isotopes in the shell of Mercenaria mercenaria trace wastewater inputs from watersheds to estuarine ecosystems Carmichael, Ruth H.; Hattenrath, Theresa K.; Valiela, Ivan; Michener, Robert H. (Inter-Research, 2008-11-25)We tested the usefulness of δ15N values in the organic matrix of whole shells from Mercenaria mercenaria as tracers of anthropogenic nitrogen inputs to coastal ecosystems. Low and high stringency acidification methods were ...
The role of biological production in pleistocene atmospheric carbon dioxide variations and the nitrogen isotope dynamics of the southern ocean Sigman, Daniel M. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, 1997-09)This dissertation contributes to the search for a cause of glacial/interglacial variations in atmospheric carbon dioxide. The hypotheses addressed involve changes in low and high-latitude biological export production. A ...
