MetadataShow full item record
LocationNorth Atlantic Ocean
This report supplements Volumes 1-5 of the core descriptions published previously in this sequence (Johnson and Driscoll, 1975; 1977). It contains visual descriptions and smear slide analyses for all cores received in the geological samples collection of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution between late-1976 and mid-1980. Approximately 200 sample localities from the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, Pacific, and Indian Oceans are represented. Charts of ships' tracks and updated computer listings of all cores in the W.H.O.I. collection are also included.

Modern sedimentation in the Northern Barents Sea : input, dipersal and deposition of suspended sediments from glacial meltwater Pfirman, Stephanie L. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, 1984-08)The modern depositional environment of the northern epicontinental Barents Sea varies from proximal to distal glaciomarine. The regional surface sediment distribution is controlled by erosion of shallow banks of the ...
