An oxygen concentration alteration experiment was performed to test the influence of oxygen concentration on methane oxidation rate. Together with the methane concentration alteration experiment, the purpose of this experiment was to test the assumption that methane oxidation in the Santa Barbara Basin deep water column follows first order kinetics. For a complete list of measurements, refer to the full dataset description in the supplemental file 'Dataset_description.pdf'.
