Typed number on back reads 574. Associated paper readys "SPNEA Print. After lunch, (note the black umbrellas carried by the ladies) Tarpaulin Cove. Baldwin Coolidge. Another associated paper reads "August 8. The last excursion of the season was planned for Gay Head. After landing at Tarpaulin Cover for lunch, the Vigilant was towed out into the Sound by the launch and then left to sail on to Gay Head. The New York Yatch Club passed this point in the afternoon in view of the people on the Vigilant. The Schooner was towed in in the late afternoon by the tug Volunteer at Captain Veeder's request.
