Fishes; Species diversityAbstract
From the introductory paragraph: A report and analysis of the distribution of bottom fishes in
the Denmark Strait and Irminger Sea will soon be published in the
journal Deep-Sea Research (Haedrich and Krefft, 1978). Unfortunately,
space considerations did not allow inclusion of a complete species
list. The purpose of this report is to make that information available.

Molecular characterization and morphology of Cochlodinium strangulatum, the type species of Cochlodinium, and Margalefidinium gen. nov. for C. polykrikoides and allied species (Gymnodiniales, Dinophyceae)
Gómez, Fernando; Richlen, Mindy L.; Anderson, Donald M. (2017-01)Photosynthetic species of the dinoflagellate genus Cochlodinium such as C. polykrikoides, one of the most harmful bloom-forming dinoflagellates, have been extensively investigated. Little is known about the heterotrophic ... -
Species-level variability in extracellular production rates of reactive oxygen species by diatoms
Schneider, Robin J.; Roe, Kelly L.; Hansel, Colleen M.; Voelker, Bettina M. (Frontiers Media, 2016-03-30)Biological production and decay of the reactive oxygen species (ROS) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and superoxide (O−2) likely have significant effects on the cycling of trace metals and carbon in marine systems. In this study, ... -
Species-specific relative ahr1 binding affinities of 2,3,4,7,8-pentachlorodibenzofuran explain avian species differences in its relative potency
Farmahin, Reza; Jones, Stephanie P.; Crump, Doug; Hahn, Mark E.; Giesy, John P.; Zwiernik, Matthew J.; Bursian, Steven J.; Kennedy, Sean W. (2013-12)Results of recent studies showed that 2,3,4,7,8-pentachlorodibenzofuran (PeCDF) and 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) are equipotent in domestic chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) while PeCDF is more potent than ...
