Ocean Surveyor (OS75) data, collected by UHDAS, fully processed
including Ashtech heading correction and profile editing
("gautoedit").
The dataset included a complete and "clean" Ashtech heading correction
record. Short bottom tracking segments were available at the beginning
and end of the cruise (going in and out of Narragansett). Due to initial processing
problems (triggered by the recent addition of a WH300 ADCP) , I checked the
bottom track and water track calibrations with and without Ashtech heading
correction. Including the Ashtech clearly reduced the standard deviation in
the bottom track cal time series. A small constant heading offset of 0.3 degrees
was adjusted via a constant database rotation.
Details on the data processing can be found in
en466_procnotes.txt
A matlab "dump" of the database can be downloaded
via this link to the local file
en466_e.mat. The variable "readme" explains the data format.
In addition, the matlab file en466_sta.mat contains "CTD station" profiles, derived by
averaging S-ADCP data for the 26 CTD stations between station start- and end times,
as listed in the CTD log provided by Jane Dunworth. The data format follows that of
en466_e.mat, and again is described by the variable "readme".
